Who is responsible

What we collect

Your email address and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself); whether your email is confirmed; your credit balance, plan and transaction history; the prompts, scripts, uploads and media you create, including Studio projects saved to your account; and basic technical logs (IP address, browser) used for security and abuse prevention.

How we use it

To run your account, produce your generations and films, process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, and contact you about your account. We don't use your content to train AI models and we don't sell your data.

Who we share it with

Only what each service needs to do its job:

• AI providers receive the prompts, text and media needed for the model you choose: fal.ai (which runs models from Google, ByteDance, Kling and others, including voice and music models), Runway, and Pollinations for free drafts.
• NOWPayments processes crypto payments; we never see your wallet's private keys.
• Resend delivers account emails (password reset and email confirmation) when we send them.
• Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when pages load.
• Our hosting provider stores the service and its data.

These services may process data in other countries under their own privacy terms.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential login cookie. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Studio also keeps a copy of your current project in your browser's local storage so it works offline.

Storage of your films and files

Every project and the files it uses (character and location references, every take including alternatives, voices, sounds, music, finished films, subtitles, audio stems and recent cuts) are kept in your account for as long as the project exists. Your files are private: they open only when you're logged in, and AI providers receive links that expire after a few hours. These are deleted automatically: temporary render folders after 2 days, render caches of projects untouched for 30 days (rebuilt on your next publish; nothing is lost), and internal analysis files that no project uses after 14 days.

Backups and retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Nightly backups of account data are kept for 30 days and may be stored with a separate backup provider; deleted data disappears from backups as they expire. One-time email links expire after 1 hour (password reset) or 48 hours (email confirmation).

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing cineforgesupport@cineforge.site. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing or complain to your data-protection authority. Blockchain transactions are public and can't be deleted.

Children

CineForge is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We'll update the date at the top when this policy changes.
